About Rib Rides of St Ives Established in 2005 as a family run concern, we have now run over 700 hours of high speed and eco trips with 100% safety record. Our skippers have full RYA certification and up to date training in boat handling and rescue techniques. Our trips are fully insured up to 20 miles from safe harbour (MCA Cat 4) and we carry the latest safety equipment.
Powerboat ‘Kin-Ell’ We operate a modified Ribeye Sport 785 Rigid Inflatable Boat and new for last year we re-powered with a 225hp Honda 4-stroke Outboard.
The boat carries up to 11 passengers plus the driver, in a combination of 8 jockey seats and one bench for up to 4 persons, plus an optional seat forward of the console for the braver soul. We can accommodate younger children right through to seniors—our oldest rider to date was in her early 80’s! Provided you can manage the steps, we can take you. |

Season 2009 3/07/09 UPDATE Now back in the harbour!
Clean launch at Hayle on Wednesday 1st, didn’t damage the hull coming off the trailer, so our lovely new blue and silver paint scheme still looks good. Didn’t break anything and nothing fell off coming over Hayle bar, and this year’s Red Ensign has so far lasted a day longer than the last one. So far so good!
